Many years ago, cowboy boots were only worn by cattlemen, but nowadays they are one of the more fashionable boot types. There are two types of cowboy boots. One is the western boot, which looks more similar to the classic cowboy boot that everybody recognizes: a tall boot shaft, a pointed toe and a moderately high, angled heel. The other type of boot is called the roper which normally possesses a short boot shaft, a rounded toe and a short, straight heel. Roper boots are usually lower in price due to the lower shaft, so less leather is needed.

Yet, cowboy boots are on average amongst the costliest styles of shoes, but they are worth it. They are rugged and can last very long. They als remain stylish for very long. In recent decades, cowboy boots have been made popular by line dancing, western films and country music. Whether you are old or young, everyone is able to list a few celebrities who put on cowboy boots and made them fashionable.

Especially boots for ladies have really taken off in the last couple of years. Women's cowboy boots are purchasable in many colors and frequently have decorative stitching, making them ideal footgear for the confident and stylish woman of today.

Good boots are rare and manufactured by a select few companies. A few popular brand names are Ariat and Frye. Many boot companies have been around for a long time and are not ready yet to collaborate with one another. As a consequence, the fitting may differ from company to company. So before you buy a pair of boots online be sure to read a few reviews of the boots and the brand first.

As soon as you have purchased your first pair of boots, you might want to know which clothes you can wear them with. The answer is that you can wear them with virtually anything.
