Chippewa Motorcycle Boots - How Are They Made?

By Penelope Morgan

Chippewa boots can last you for as long as a decade. They are weather resistant, durable, tough and comfortable. Once you have bought a pair of these boots, you are ready to embark on an adventurous motorcycle trip.

Chippewa boots are the best when it comes to comfort and quality. Their range of motorcycle boots follow this general rule, and offer the rider all the protection from bad terrain, rocky roads, and rough weather. They always live up to their great reputation. Chippewa boots come in lots of styles and sizes; there is one pair to suit every taste and every purpose. Over the last one hundred years, Chippewa has become known for its excellent durable footwear.

Motorcycling boots have to have a few defining characteristics. They have to be able to take on the hurdles of the motorcycling sport in general. Not unlike work bots, motorcycle boots have to be able to withstand a large range of temperatures, hot and cold, and keep the wearer's feet warm, dry and comfortable. You never know in advance how the terrain will be, and your boots should be able to tackle asphalt, dirt, stony roads and other rough ways with magnanimity. You do have a wide range of Chippewa boots to take your pick from, but all of these have some common traits. These are:

Goodyear welt construction- most other brands of bots use ordinary glue or adhesive available locally. Chippewa, though, swears by Goodyear welt construction. This way, they ensure that your boots will last a very long while. This also helps the upper and the sole stay together.

Vibram soles- vibram is unique in its own right. You can make sure your feet are comfortable, it gives you a firm grip on the riding surface and long lasting longevity. Each vibram sole is made up of advanced tread designs, and you get a great grip, irrespective of whether you are walking or running or riding.

Leather upper- Chippewa uses thicker leather for the uppers than other boot manufacturers. The extra thickness is beneficial for you. You are protected from chilly draughts, heat from the exhaust pipes and other bad conditions the road may bring forth. These thick leather uppers are more comfortable than what you get in other boots. You can move freely and change your position too. Each upper contains some oil, which makes it water resistant and weather proof.

Insole- with a pair of Chippewa boots, you get either a thick, padded, cushy insole, or one made of the classic TEXON. The arch will give you the best support, for your mid foot, and the cup of the heel is the best you get too.

Chippewa makes boots in heights ranging from 6 inches to 17 inches. Different heights will give you different levels of protection.

Chippewa uses the latest technology in the manufacture of their boots.

Chippewa's first line of boots was logger boots, made of leather and spiky soles. These boots became tremendously popular, so Chippewa launched more lines of footwear, mostly boots.

Chippewa now manufactures boots for sportsmen and for other people who just need a great pair of boots for any purpose. The quality and comfort truly surpasses all other brands'.
